Garbage Collection:
The Town of Prescott has a residential ´garbage bag´ system. The Town´s designated hauler will collect only residential waste in approved bags.
The curb-side pick-up is each Tuesday. Please check the website or newspaper for any changes when the Tuesday falls on a statutory holiday.
Curbside pick-up is for weekly residential waste that fits into the regulated bags. For large items that cannot fit into the garbage bags, please contact a local cartage company. Businesses, industries and institutions are responsible for the disposal of their own waste.

Recycling Collection:
Recycling is collected at the curbside on alternate Thursdays depending on whether you live on the west or east side of town. Click on the recylcing schedule below for dates and rules for recycling.
Blue Boxes - $7.00 each (GST included) Available at Town Hall and Public Works Yard.
Leaf & Yard Waste:
The town collects brush and yard waste on the last Wednesday of the month from April through to October. PLEASE do not put your waste out too early!

Household Hazardous Waste:
Prescott residents can drop off their household hazardous waste at the following locations (and dates)
Saturday August 20, 2011 - Frankville/Toledo Patrol Garage, 331 County Road 29 (8:30-2:00)
AND South Leeds Patrol Garage, County Rd. 3, North of Lansdowne (8:30-2:00)
Saturday September 24, 2011 - South Grenville Patrol Garage, 2320 County Rd. 21, East of Spencerville (8:30-11:30)
AND North Grenville Patrol Garage, 720 County Rd. 44, South of Kemptville (1:00-4:00)
Materials NOT accepted: PCB contaminated wastes, radioactive wastes, electronics, appliances, tires and explosives. Commercial and Industrial Waste will not be accepted.
Please note: Bring your waste in its original container, DO NOT MIX IT
Bring some ID. Waste will only be accepted from Unitied Counties, Gananoque, and Prescott residents.
For your protection, transport your waste in the trunk of your vehicle
