Sidewalk Maintenance

Sidewalks are surveyed annually in order to identify deficiencies and deflections listed in the Minimum Maintenance Standard of Ontario. Through the survey, areas of repair and replacement are prioritized by the rating given to the sidewalk in each area. Work is scheduled accordingly.

During the winter months, the municipality closes specific sidewalks such as East Street and Prince Street (due to concerns with age, width or grade of grass towards the road). Note: Some sidewalks that are currently not cleared are under review.
