About>
The Walker House is home to several different recreational activities geared towards adults and seniors. We meet often for special events, classes and courses, and take trips both near and far. The information for those special events will be posted on the board in the main room.
Our program director is Susan Vallom and she keeps office hours Monday-Friday. You can catch her by chance or by appointment. We are following all COVID-19 related protocols and require participants to show proof of vaccination and to be masked while in the building.

The facility itself is 3 floors, the main floor is full accessible. Having recently undergone renovations, the main floor offers an accessible washroom, a brand new kitchen that perfect for group cooking or baking, and s large community room that is commonly full of members crafting or playing cards!
In the basement is actively used to play pool at the pool table or get into a game of shuffleboard!
A large and heavily stocked craft room can be found on the third floor! This room is commonly used for sewing and quilting.
Prescott Hoops and Hooks is an association of rug hookers. We meet twice a month to enjoy the craft of rug hooking and socialize in a convivial atmosphere. We welcome anyone who would like to learn about the art and craft of rug hooking. Drop in to one of our meetings and we’ll show you what we do and how we do it.
Membership in Prescott Hoops and Hooks is $5 a year for Walker House members. We meet at Walker House on the second and last Wednesdays of the month, except for July and August, 9:30 am to Noon. Our members include three certified rug hooking teachers.
The first meeting of each month is a social meeting. The second meeting of each month is our business meeting. The business meeting runs for about an hour, and the rest of the time is devoted to rug hooking. From time to time we hold workshops to learn more about a specific aspect of our craft.
Please join us. You may discover a new craft to enjoy.
